It takes a community to stop crime

Bringing decency and order into a community like Asheville, Buncombe County, and Western North Carolina takes all of us working together. When we want to stop drugs, protect our children in the school system, or stop theft... it is not just your local law enforcement and police officers that get this done. Community awareness and efforts by local citizens is very important.

Law Enforcement somewhat always held the motto of "To Protect and Serve" and this remains the vision and purpose. Officers are here for the good of our Asheville community, not to be a burden or hardship on anyone. The goal is to be fair in their dealings and judgements. Everything does not always work out perfect, but the motive should, for the most part, be sincere. We welcome the local residents of Buncombe County to contribute any information that could help the police departments in the AVL area assist you or make our community a better place to live.
